Controversial film - Up

The children's film up was given a U certificate. However, there is a scene where the bad character sets fire to the good characters house. This is suggesting to children that violence is okay and that the children can mimic the action and have no consequences. More violence is shown when the dogs attack each other, and bite the bird, and try to attack the other characters. This is telling children that violence has no consequences. It could also upset some children to see animals hurt, and the good characters in danger.
The U certificate is controversial as the film does make a special effort to appeal to a wider audience than the children, like their parents. For example, some adult humor is used, also adult relationships and difficulties, for example when the good character found out she couldn't have children, and many of the children watching the film wouldn't understand.
